Hey guys! My name is Claudia and I am a current sophomore here at Pace University. I will be hosting the Accepted Students blog until the start of Fall semester. I am a Communication Studies major here at Pace living in the St. George Hotel dormitory in Brooklyn Heights. I was raised in New Jersey (no, not where the Jersey Shore is filmed…although a 30 minute drive away).
This blog exists because I know choosing a school and preparing for life as a college-student is both exciting and overwhelming. If you’re a recently accepted student, you definitely have some questions. This is exactly why I’m here, to get those questions answered.
As a current student I have been in the same exact position you are in right now. Before choosing Pace University as the college to further my education, I was confused and didn’t want to make the wrong decision. Not only am I going to be posting blogs, but other staff and students will be too. If you have a question or comments- I recommend you post it on here!
If you look on the right of this page, you’ll see many links to other blogs as well! Make sure to check them out too!
Thanks for reading! ~~~C!
My name is Brian Rentas and I am going to be a junior at Pace starting this fall. I’m at the New York City campus majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Media Studies and minoring in Marketing as well as Arts & Entertainment Management. I was born and raised on Staten Island, New York (feel free to judge Staten Island, I do it any chance I get) but will be living in the Fulton Street dorm in the fall. As for around the school, I’m the Web Editor for the NYC campus student newspaper, The Pace Press, I work at the student call center (which means I have far too much knowledge about Pace permanently lodged in my mind) and I also intern within the publicity department of a lifestyle advertisement firm.
Along with Claudia, I am helping with the Accepted Students Blog until the beginning of the fall semester — if you have any questions for me about the school, the campus, any majors or programs you’re looking into, etc., please feel free to let me know and I’ll be more than willing to help you out.
